The boundaries between prototyping, piloting, and implementation are fluid. Full implementation might need us to initiate a large technical process, even refit a production line – steps which are very expensive to change later. Or implementation might just be a case of a handful of people doing their jobs differently. Whatever the scale of the change, there are some common patterns as we move into “everyday business”:
